Frederick T.A. Bollaci has been practicing law in Florida since 2002. He specializes in estate planning and administration, elder law, and asset preservation.
Mr. Bollaci was practically destined to become a trusts and estates attorney. From high school age, Mr. Bollaci was very closely involved with the planning and strategy behind a large and very complex family estate, from comprehensive planning, its evolution as circumstances required, through its eventual administration and subsequent management of several trusts, many partnerships, corporations, and a family foundation, which entailed frequent meetings with counsel from multiple states, financial planners, and accountants. This immersive experience, especially the in-depth strategic planning, which the young Mr. Bollaci enjoyed and found fascinating, plus the ability to do a lot of good for the community and numerous charitable organizations led Mr. Bollaci to want to attend law school and become an estate attorney.
After graduating Stetson College of Law cum laude, Mr. Bollaci began his legal career at a large, Sarasota law firm. He quickly realized his preference was establishing one-on-one relationships with a smaller group of hand-picked clients directly. Based upon the nature of his experiences from working with his family’s estate, he saw that clients sought a certain level of trust and comfort when making such important, often emotionally-sensitive decisions, and that complex estates require a good deal of time and commitment by both the clients and their attorney, so establishing a good professional relationship where the client is comfortable being completely open with their attorney is key.
Mr. Bollaci learned that clients are often more comfortable and open to discussing and dealing with sensitive matters in a familiar setting. Mr. Bollaci works with many of his clients at their homes or businesses, providing valuable emotional support and guidance in addition to sound legal advice and strategy. It is through these personal and on-site interactions that Mr. Bollaci is able to ascertain information from a client about their estate and relevant dynamics and other issues that many clients are reluctant to discuss, even if asked.
Mr. Bollaci’s years of experience in dealing with all aspects of estate planning and numerous complex situations that are often further complicated by family dynamics have made him an invaluable asset to his clients who trust and value his advice and expertise.
Mr. Bollaci has made it a priority to assist his clients in asset preservation, tax strategy, elder and special needs planning, charitable giving, and planning for all possible estate contingencies, and devising plans that enable clients to maintain the greatest degree of flexibility and control over their assets. In addition to the personalized service and attention he guarantees to his clients, Mr. Bollaci understands that estate planning is full of sensitive subject matter that can be emotionally very difficult for clients. He is committed to working with his clients over time and at their pace, and brings to the table decades of compassion and understanding. It has been very gratifying for Mr. Bollaci to have great long-term working relationships with many clients, and to be able to assist them in achieving their goals.
Mr. Bollaci currently represents clients from Palm Beach to Miami on Florida’s East Coast, and in Sarasota, Naples, and the Greater Tampa Bay areas on Florida’s West Coast. Mr. Bollaci will be glad to meet with clients at their home or business in the above areas and does consultations by phone or Zoom.
“My neighbor recommended Fred Bollaci for my Will and other documents. Fred spoke to me on the phone first. He took the time to explain everything and made me feel very comfortable and reassured about making such important decisions. He e-mailed me drafts and walked me through them over the phone. A few days later, we scheduled an appointment and Fred came to my home to review everything in person and to finalize my documents. Everything went very smoothly.” -Rosalie, Clearwater, Florida
“I was referred to Fred Bollaci after the death of my father. He had a Will and some assets but also had a lot of debts. Fred Bollaci helped me navigate the Probate process and dealt with creditors so that I was able to keep a majority of the estate and was no longer hassled by phone calls and collection notices. Fred Bollaci saved me a lot of money and grief at a very difficult time.” -Marc, Bradenton, Florida
Mr. Bollaci is a native of Long Island, New York. He received his B.A. from Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 1998, his Juris Doctor from Stetson College of Law in St. Petersburg, FL in 2002, and his Masters in Business Administration also from Stetson.
Fred Bollaci is also a published author of two books, “The Restaurant Diet, How to Eat Out Every Night and Still Lose Weight” (Mango 2018) and “The Restaurant Diet, a Spiritual Journey of Self-Discovery” (Mango 2019).
